Concept Karting’s Alexander Peroni is about to test his skills in Italy, the world’s mecca of karting. Alex will compete at three race events against some of the best 9 to 12 year old boys and girls in Europe. Alex’s Mum and Dad will be taking their 9 year old son to Italy where he will race for CRG’s prestigious Galiffa Race Team. Amidst the excitement and preparations for this adventure Alex’s father, Mr. Piero Peroni, has said:

This is a particularly exciting time for all of our family. None of this would have been possible without the help of a lot of people. In particular on behalf of myself and my family I wish to extend our gratitude to Mr. Chris Dell and Mr. Ken Schroder from St. George Kart Centre for all the effort and assistance given to Alex during these past months.

Hearing of this development, Hobart’s Mercury newspaper ( themercury.com.au ) has written a more detailed article about Alexander’s exploits and dreams.

Last weekend the third round of The Golden Power Series was held at The Rochester Raceway. Following a very strong showing all weekend, Matthew Smith capped it all off with a well deserved 2nd place in Rookies Class. Driving his new CRG VK1 chassis he took it up to the opposition in every heat. Great weekend and well done Matt.
